Went here on our hotel receptionist recommendation. Beautiful veiw and great food. Our server was great, and this may have been the best mahi sandwich I've ever had. If you come here order the mahi sandwich. Sorry no pics

Such a coveted spot, right on the sand at eye level. The Deck is a great place to enjoy the trappings of the SoCal beach lifestyle, even just for a couple of hours. Bloody Marys, California Coolers, Sweet and Spicy Amigas, Espresso Martinis, and the Tuna Tartare. Everything we had was great and seemed to taste better on the beach (maybe it was the booze). Sam and Bernie were great bartenders, and our visit was the perfect way to watch the sunset in Laguna Beach. The Deck is the spot to be. Four Thumbs Up!

This place should def be rated higher than 4 stars. Just on location alone it deserves 5 stars! The view was breathtaking, you're steps away from the beach and they have an exit to the beach so super convenient. Had lunch here and we got to see the most beautiful sunset ever! The staff was nice, fast service and super accommodating. We went in with no reservation and even though it was busy they managed to get us seated all while ordering our first round at the bar. Great music, great food. Oysters are great! The salads are so good too and the burger was super filling. Cocktails were delicious and strong! Love it here would go again!

Came here on a Sunday for lunch at the end of Summer, with a group of 7... and didn't have to wait! Food was amazing and view was even better. Service was good. You do need to valet for parking, so plan for that. Their shrimp and scallop pasta was really good. Their grilled cheese with tomato bisque was excellent. We personally thought the clam chowder and lobster quesadilla was just okay. Complimentary garlic bread is very tasty. Mahi mahi sandwich was very filling and large in quantity but the pasta and grilled cheese/soup combo was still better.

Food: First time trying the Shrimp & Pineapple Boat starter. I believe this is a new menu item for the next few weeks. The pineapple cut down the middle with shrimp stacked on top with what I believe was a Louie sauce. The shrimp was tender and tossed with small pineapple chunks, all on a bed of lettuce and cherry tomatoes. I wish it had a little more kick but still great for a small party such as 2-3 people. The Maine Scallop & Mexican Shrimp pasta was delicious. The pasta was tossed in a cheesy cream sauce. I shared this dish with a friend and it was enough for both of us if you're feeling a light dinner. The scallops were tender but I do wish they were seared a bit longer. The edible flowers were a nice touch. Service: I come to the deck regularly on weekends but this was my first weekday. The wait for a table was instant but I then asked for a seaside view and the host was very friendly and helpful for my request. The servers were a bit firm but to be fair the restaurant was at a dinner rush so I don't hold them accountable considering they were incredibly busy. Ambiance: The deck is known for their Oceanside views and beach-vibe bar. I sat down at around 5:40-6 and while the ocean was beautiful I do warn that Laguna sun will blind you up until around 6:30-7. Some of the seaside view tables have umbrellas that break the sun but prior to sunset I reccomend you bring a hat or sunglasses. I included a few photos of my seating table as well as the sunset view you get when eating here (which is the best part in my opinion). Also be aware that many people will be taking photos during sunset so if you really want that nice sunset view I recommend waiting a little longer for a seaside table.

Vibes were immaculate. This restaurant's ambiance and food selection was way better than that of the Cliff restaurant. Felt way more young and hip. Great service. Drinks 4/5: Full bar. Cocktails are very well crafted. Food: Came here for the skinny girl diet. Wanted some oysters and a side of fries but unfortunately they do not have a fryer. Therefore, they do not offer any fried meal options. Oysters 5/5: So fresh! An order of a dozen oysters came with three different types. All delicious. I was able to request my next order to feature all of my favorite type at no additional charge. Hummus 4/5: Rich and creamy. Portions were also on the larger side. Really felt like vacation vibes.

Table service was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. The beach burger was the most flavorful and juicy of all the menu items we had! The mussels & clams apps were a close second. The deck tacos packed a delicious punch! I loved the sauce, though I did have to pick off some excessive lettuce. The clam chowder was satisfying though not intensely clam-heavy. The mahi mahi sandwich was quite tasty! The chicken sandwich was advertised to be a bit spicy but didn't have any that could be tasted and the chicken was a tad dry. Additionally the lobster quesadillas were overwhelmed with more pepper taste than lobster. The deck has a fantastic view of the ocean. You won't be disappointed.

The best beach resturant in southern california that I have ever been to! I have been there twice! Good food but for sure the first time we went they had different chef! Sunset is the best time to be there! Get some drinks at the bar then wait for your table! Seafood is always a smart choice over there but the burger wont disappoint you either
